Ah, sorry about that: it was just an idea!

Re: Possible to delete Calendar on Mobile

On my HTC Desire if I display the Android calendar and press "Menu" then "More" I get an option to display calendars and to uncheck the ones I don't wish to use. Also, if I press "Menu" again in that screen I get an option to remove a highlighted calendar. Separately, "Manage Applications" allows yo...

Re: android did not connect to 2nd PC

Very clear English explanation: no problem with your English! There is a FAQ at: http://www.birdiesync.com/can-i-synchronize-same-web-calendar-two-different-computers which indicates in effect that it's not really practical to synchronise the same web calendar on two PCs. I appreciate it's not a dir...

Re: "Empty event Birdiesync account" message with 2.3.3

Many thanks, Birdy. I confirm that the latest versions appear to have resolved the problem (using Thunderbird 5 and the appropriate beta of BS).

Re: Thunderbird 5.0 and 2.3.4.0 beta - bad news

Sorry, I'm out of ideas because I don't know how you can access the full logs to send to support if you can't actually connect. I'm sure Birdy will come in with some ideas in due course. Sorry not to be of more help.

Re: "Empty event Birdiesync account" message with 2.3.3

I have had exactly the same experience with the 2.3.4.0 beta - and, like you, no problems with the actual synchronisation if I ignore the message. I have sent logs to BirdieSync support.

Re: Thunderbird 5.0 and 2.3.4.0 beta - bad news

This is only an idea, but have you tried launching Thunderbird first and then connecting? I must admit, that's the way I always do it and although BirdieSync occasionally complains it can't make the connection if I try again immediately it invariably does connect.

Thunderbird 5.0 and 2.3.4.0 beta - good news

Many thanks, Birdy, for the 2.3.4.0 beta. I've downloaded it and synchronised Android contacts and events with Thunderbird 5.0/Lightning 1.0b4 with no problems (once I also remembered to update the Thunderbird add on as well as the Android app!).

Re: Thunderbird not connecting to BirdieSync

This is a very old thread. I have absolutely no problems synchronising my Lightning calendar (and Thunderbird contacts) with Pocket Informant and Android contacts (respectively) on my HTC Desire, using BirdieSync.

Re: Random deletions on Android

I think I'm going to duck out of this - don't have the requisite expertise to guess what's going on, sorry! The only suggestion I have is to try the beta, but that's not going to help if the problem isn't with BS, of course.

Sorry I can't be more help.

Re: Random deletions on Android

I know it doesn't help to say "it doesn't happen to me" but wondered whether you'd tried the latest beta version of BirdieSync, which deals with contacts in a slightly different way. My phone is an HTC Desire (not yet on Android 2.3) and I'm running Windows 7, so there may be material differences an...

Re: Who is behind BirdieSync

Birdy has consistently provided really excellent support for many years. I used the Windows Mobile version of BirdieSync for a number of years and have just moved to the Android version. In my experience any software problems have been fixed extremely quickly and Birdy has been superbly responsive t...

Re: Androïd

As a long time user of BirdieSync on a Windows Mobile device (which I gave up in favour of an Android phone last year), I'm really delighted to return to BirdieSync and use it with the phone. Contacts and events synchronise perfectly.

Your work is very much appreciated, Birdie: many thanks.

There is a work around on the previous page of this thread. You need to edit the relevant "install.rdf" file. Note Birdie's comments (also on the previous page of this thread) as to the correct "max version" to include.

Re: Request: Lower price

I thought the program was expensive when I bought it some years ago. I have changed my view after using it (it is invaluable) and after experiencing some really good support recently. It is a superb program and, so far as I'm concerned, Birdy is incredibly responsive in providing help and support. I...
