Thanks, I've just got the new version. I've just written to Gervase Markham to complain about their new system, but the mail was bounced as spam. What makes us think they really aren't going to listen Anyway, thanks again for all your work.
Regards,
Bob

Re: Thunderbird 6.0 and 2.3.4.1
Let's hope it's not to serious and won't involve you in too many changes. The update broke 10 of my 17 extensions, including Birdiesync, but most of those were just a question of upgrading the maxversion number of the extensions. However, even if it is a small thing to alter, if it's going to happen...

Re: Thunderbird 6.0 and 2.3.4.1
I just got Thunderbird version 5 from the Mozilla FTP site, and just installed it over v 6. It worked just fine, but that has now broken some other extensions - however Birdiesync is OK again. The Windows ones are here. http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/releases/latest-5.0/win3...

Re: Thunderbird 6.0 and 2.3.4.1
Unfortunately no. I just installed 6 and it has broken Birdiesync completely. I don't know if there is any way to hack it to work pending a new release of BirdieSync - if not I would hold off before upgrading until a new Birdiesync appears. This is going to be a continuing problem now that Thunderbi...

BirdieSync installation affects Thunderbird Extensions
I just installed BirdieSync 2.0.0.1 and saw the same bug that appeared when I installed v 2.0.0.0. I use the MR Tech Tookit extension to enable some other Thunderbird extensions that have not yet been updated to run under Thunderbird v. 3.x - presumably it just updates the MaxVersion parameter. Afte...

Re: Birdiesync triggers Outlook 2007 to open
Thanks for the gen. Can I now belatedly delete the partnership in WMDC, or should I just leave well alone? Everything is working fine now.

Bob

Re: Birdiesync triggers Outlook 2007 to open
Despite the fact that I unticked the Outlook items and ticked the BirdieSync ones in the MDC when I set things up, when I went back to it today to check, the Outlook ones were ticked again and the BirdieSync ones were unticked. I followed the procedure you suggested, and unticked the Outlook items, ...

Birdiesync triggers Outlook 2007 to open
I've been using Outlook 2007 to sync my phone for a while, but recently switched back to Thunderbird 3 and BirdieSync (registered version, of course, and running under Windows 7) to connect to my O2 XDA Orbit II Windows Mobile 6.0 phone. Everything set up correctly, and the sync works perfectly, but...

Re: Windows 7
Having thought about it, I decided to go ahead and reset the sync settings to exclude the Outlook settings. The Sync Centre duly wiped the data from my mobile and then, before I could do anything about it, re-synced and wiped the data from Thunderbird too! I've now got to fall back on syncing the mo...

Re: Windows 7
One of the problems that I had with the Win 7 installation was that I found it had not automatically updated Windows Mobile Device Centre - in fact it had deleted some .dll files that are essential to the process. Over the weekend, I updated this and some of the problems seemed to solve themselves....

Re: Windows 7
It seems that even if the version of the Windows Mobile Device Center is the same as on Vista, it somehow behaves differently... Is Outlook installed on your machine ? Once Outlook categories are selected, it is not possible to unselect them without erasing data on the mobile device. So the only so...

Windows 7
I've just installed Windows 7 and can't get BirdieSync to work any more. The registered version has functioned just fine since it was first installed - no problems at all. The "Options" panel in Thunderbird is not correctly displayed, and the drop downs for selections seem to be compressed verticall...
