Re: 2.0.0.1 dont work (end of trial period)
I ran into the same issue and finally found out how to solve it: Open Thunderbird, go to Extras -> BirdieSync -> License and import the license file.
It is a mystery why BirdieSync does not offer to import the license file just when the "end of trial" window pops up.

Exactly. This is what I'd expect.
Also, I'd like BS to automatically offer to upgrade the mobile part if it is outdated.

Re: syncing with more than 1 device / (re)install of updated ver
No, what I meant is - the birdiesync desktop client should simply trigger an active-sync-installation of the cab-file allready located on the desktop pc.
This would save the user from manually locating and installing the cab-file / birdiesync-installer.

BirdieSync hangs when device abruptly disconnected
When the connection gets lost during a sync (I'm using bluetooth), BirdieSync says "Stopping synchronisation, please wait...." but never finishes. I reconnected the device but BirdieSync still doesn't recover. IMO, there should be a time out in BirdieSync which stops it's whatever attempts to "stop ...

syncing with more than 1 device / (re)install of updated ver
I am syncing with 2 devices - pda and smartphone - and after I upgraded from 2.0.0.1 to 2.0.0.1, the device client was only installed on my smartphone (which was connected during that time). Now, when I tried to sync my pda, it complains about different versions on desktop and device. IMO, it should...

Re: Troubles with Smartphone 2003
Hello birdie, I rebooted my smartphone and did what you suggested - it synced contacts and when it came to events, it asked, whether to replace or duplicate and I selected "replace", and then the error box saying "Communication failure" appeared again. And yes: BirdieSync.exe terminated on the smart...

Re: HTC HD2 & Nexus One
Nexus One has Android Operating System (=some Linux), not Windows Mobile, so BirdieSync won't work with it!

Troubles with Smartphone 2003
I just uninstalled BirdieSync on my Desktop PC, PPC2003 PDA and WM2003 Smartphone (unlocked!) and upgraded from TB2 to TB3.0.1/Lightning1.0b1. Then I installed Birdiesync 2.0 on Desktop and PDA -> synchonisation worked fine. Then I connected the Smartphone and Birdiesync did not recognize it. After ...

Re: Thunderbird 3
I'd love to move from Outlook to BirdieSync/TB/Lightning but what concerns me is the availability of free upgrades.
If I buy BirdieSync now, will I get a free upgrade to the upcoming version supporting TB3?
