Re: Unexpected error
I generated the logs and looked at the device/birdiesync.log file. All the way at the end it showed a contact that it couldn't grab the category from. Pulling the contact up on PPC showed blank screen, so something got corrupted. Turned out I had to delete from the PPC and re-sync, got error, gen lo...

Unexpected error
Getting an "Unexpected Error" when syncing. Started happening all of a sudden with beta-s. I noticed that full version had been released so figured the beta had expired. Uninstalled on both pc and ppc and installed the release version. Still getting the Unexpected Error. Will send the logs to support.

Re: BirdieSync 2.0.0.0 beta - bug reports
I just installed beta-l and birdiesyncs syncs once and then reports that it is disconnected subsequent cradling. The funny part is, the archive log generator screen says it is connected. The logs show it is cradled. Here is the log: Local 2009-12-18 20:12:00::980 BirdieSync: version 2.0.0.0beta-l Lo...

Ok, all, here is what I did: Go to Microsoft and download Windows Mobile Device Center from here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/downloads/microsoft/device-center-download.mspx Select the proper version (32 or 64 bit). With the mobile DISCONNECTED, install WMDC. I chose "Run as Adminis...

Re: Windows 7
One of the problems that I had with the Win 7 installation was that I found it had not automatically updated Windows Mobile Device Centre - in fact it had deleted some .dll files that are essential to the process. Over the weekend, I updated this and some of the problems seemed to solve themselves....

Re: BirdieSync does not recognise Sync in Windows 7 RC1
I tried this too, but still won't sync. The mobile says there was an error syncing with Birdie Sync. On the PC, it sits at "Sync pending" forever. If I remove BirdieSync, syncs fine.
I am running the official release of Windows 7 64-bit.
