Re: BirdieSync does not even install

You said no add-ons on Thunderbird, you need at least Lightning in order to use Birdiesync.

Portable version?

Hi, I am trying to migrate most of my apps to a portable model, easier to maintain and move between different machines. Thnderbird can be get here [http://portableapps.com/news/2010-03-30_-_thunderbird_portable_3.0.4] and I can easily install lightning on it. Questions are: 1. Is it possible to inst...

Re: BS - Only trouble...

I synced contacts from my mobile into a newly created address book in TB. This worked and so I wanted to change some entries because I prefer the format "John Doe" instead of "Doe, John". In Samsungs "New PC Studio" I could use the field "Last Name" for this and so entered "John Doe" in it. But aft...

Re: How to disable Win7 "default e-mail warning"?

If you manually apply these settings in the registry, be aware that the synchronization of mails with Outlook will no longer work since the Windows Mobile Device Center will not be able to access to the mail settings for the synchronization. So you'll have to revert these settings if you want to sy...

Re: How to disable Win7 "default e-mail warning"?

I had to do a couple of registry edits and the message seem to be gone. 1. First step * Start regedit as an administrator by typing "regedit" into your start menu. * Right click the regedit program, and choose Run As Administrator * Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Mozilla Thunde...

Re: BirdieSync 2.0.0.0 beta - bug reports

Yes, it works, I just did it. But, you have to restart your machine. The birdiesync service running will prevent tb to update it. If you also change this line: <em:version>2.0.0.0beta-r</em:version> to <em:version>2.0.0.0beta-r1</em:version> You will be able to check on tb if it is using the new (up...

Re: BirdieSync 2.0.0.0 beta - bug reports

While they do not update, just go to the birdiesync directory, open Thunderbird Service directory, and edit the file install.rdf.

Change the line

<em:maxVersion>3.0</em:maxVersion>

to

<em:maxVersion>3.*</em:maxVersion>

Save and restart everything.

Re: Update police

No replies? I am willing to buy current version 1.7.2.0 and downgrade to TB2 for a while. I understand version 2 is free if it comes out up to 3 months from now. But, what will/is considered a major update: 1- 2.0.0.0 -> 2.0.0.1 2- 2.0.0.0 -> 2.0.1.0 3- 2.0.0.0 -> 2.1.0.0 Where the line is draw, 1, ...

Update police

You may freely upgrade your version of BirdieSync for minor updates but you you may have to pay an upgrade license fee for major updates.
