Android: Synch with multiple PCs having shared TB profile
Referring to my earlier question: http://www.birdiesync.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1466 It would be awesome to be able to either manually or automatically make BirdieSync operate flawlessly (at least over USB) when the synching is made from different PCs in the same LAN but using a shared TB prof...

Re: Synching with two PCs sharing the same profile on same L
I see. What makes a BirdieSync server "unique" then? I was wondering if there was a way to force two BirdieSync servers to appear the same when I know they share the same profile. I tried looking in the installation directory and registry but couldn't find anything computer specific. Sorry for bomba...

Re: Synching with two PCs on same LAN
I actually tried it already. I got the forwarding to go but it didn't solve the issue of full synch and duplicates. Here is the setup I tried: - Mobile BirdieSync IP-address settings are constantly set to point to server. - Server is running a forwarder software listening to port 58927 (not 2664 as ...

Re: Synching with two PCs on same LAN
Hi Birdy, Ok, does BirdieSync decide the scheme based on the IP-address of the contacted PC and detect changes in it? I can see BirdieSync listens to TCP port 2664 for incoming connections. What if I wrote a simple TCP/IP-forwarder service on my server which would listen to the same port and upon co...

Synching with two PCs sharing the same profile on same LAN
I have two PC-workstations in the same LAN with obviously different fixed IP-addresses. They both run Thunderbird/Lightning and have a shared profile in my home directory on server disk so I always have the same e-mails, calendar and contacts available regardless of the PC I'm using. When I use Bird...

Re: BS 2.3.1.1 keeps dropping contact via WiFi
How I wish that every software programmer had the technical skill and dedication of Birdy. This is the second time that I've posted an issue in the forum in order to have Birdy provide a solution within a day or two from modifications in the pipeline. All the problems that I had with disconnection ...

Re: BS 2.3.1.1 keeps dropping contact via WiFi
Thanks, that update seemed to solve the problem for me. I haven't done any large scale testing yet but the longish first test after resetting event synchs went through fine and produced correct results on the mobile unit.

Re: BS 2.3.1.1 keeps dropping contact via WiFi
I noticed the same problem. However, the synchronization seems to progress small chunks at a time so restarting over and over again it will eventually get it done.

Re: Calendar events created in Thunderbird won't fire on And
Thanks Birdy, the update seemed to do the trick at least on the first try with a new event. :) I'll try the full synch and see if my previously defined events will fire tomorrow. Just confirming: previously defined events did fire OK on both platforms so it looks like the problem is totally fixed.

Calendar events created in Thunderbird won't fire on Android
I'm having a problem with calendar events. I can create and synchronize them fine both in Thunderbird/Lighting and my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy, if it matters). They always get transferred corretly in both directions. However, if I create an event in Thunderbird and set the reminder time, it wil...
