Old Calendar Events keep getting synchronized
I noticed that synchronizations had a count greater than I expected, so I ran the next one with Preview turned on. What I found was many Events from the past, that were getting re-synchronized unexpectedly.` Here is an example from the Preview report: Action______Content__Description________________...

Re: Apple iPhone Contact's Birthday can cause Sync Failure
Hi Birdie, Glad you were able to confirm what I was seeing. Even if you set the contact's year of birth to 1604 (and the year disappears), it still causes a sync failure. So I played around with some other birth years and found the following: A birth year of 1605 will show as that year in the iPhone...

Apple iPhone Contact's Birthday can cause Sync Failure
I have just discovered that if you don't fully specify a contact's birthday (include a birth year) on your iPhone, then it will cause a Sync Failure in the Birthdays calendar. I have been using BirdieSync to align my calendars for many years - between my iPhone and Thunderbird, running on my Windows...

Re: Connection between Thunderbird & BirdieSync is cycling
Re-checked situation with this problem this morning and the issue that I saw last night is not occurring. BirdieSync program not running, started it Observed BirdieSync status bar in Thunderbird: Status stated "Impossible to connect 127.0.0.1" Clicked Connection button Saw "Listing address books" et...

Connection between Thunderbird & BirdieSync is cycling
Thunderbird 52.0.0 and BirdieSync 3.1.0.0 beta 1 worked fine - no issues detected. Thunderbird then did an automatic update to 52.0.1 and I noticed the following problems: BirdieSync started using significant Processor resources and showing "Not Responding" errors. Attempts to sync between Thunderbi...

Method to Save & Restore the Sync Configuration
I just had to re-build my Windows 10 PC from scratch, so I had to re-create the Configuration settings manually. First of all I must tell you how much better the guidance (help comments) are since I did this process when you first released Version 3. But I must admit I am a little lazy when it comes...

Re: Windows client Check for Update doesn't find 3.0.2.0
Thanks for your quick response. I do update Norton Security's malware definitions as quickly as possible, using their automatic LiveUpdate. Just glad that you didn't find anything that needed fixing. BTW, BirdieSync product is just great....every day I can rely on it to keep my calendar and contacts...

Windows client Check for Update doesn't find 3.0.2.0
Hi Birdie, I got notification about version 3.0.2.0 of the Windows client through my BirdieSync Forum subscription. I expected to be able to go to the Menu "Help | Check for Update" and see an offer to download the newest version, as I have done many times in the past. Unfortunately, I got the messa...

Informing user when sync has conflicts
I came across this situation when a sync between my Thunderbird Calendar and my iPhone resulted in a conflict. [/list][*]I had originally created an appointment and sync'd between the 2 devices. [*]At a later date, I changed the date of the appointment on the iPhone calendar. [*]When I started the s...

Getting Started Help, page 4 - diagram dissapears
I was reviewing this help series of windows, when I accidentally discovered a minor issue, that I wanted to bring to your attention. On page 4 (First Steps), I was clicking around to see what the "down-facing chevron" icon did and discovered that if you click on the text "First Steps" within the bor...

Re: History Report - making it easier to read
Seeing what you did in Beta 22, I think the border around the "in focus" history item works well. Thanks.

History Report - making it easier to read
I have been examining items in the History Report, when I realized that it is very difficult to navigate the same line, when scrolling horizontally. I was fortunate that there was a color coded line (Modification) amongst a whole lot of Creations, so I could use that to make sure I was reading the s...
