I don't think that the server is aware if it is a mobile who downloaded it, That didn't make much sense to me either. but some mail server can be configured to keep a copy of the downloaded message in the Inbox (gmail for instance). I have it configured to download the whole message. I had said pre...

So if I understand well: you send a mail or receive a mail with the mobile mail account: the received (and maybe sent) mails remain on the mail server. It would seem so, even though that isn't the way I set it up. Is it possible that the mail server doesn't delete the copy because it sees that a mo...

Now I am really confused. Your software was doing what I wanted sometimes, but wasn't supposed to do it? And to make this even more confusing, the mail I got on the PDA last night came to my PC this morning, even though I set it to not save mail on the server after download. Also, I hadn't yet conne...

I am a little bit puzzled. Normally BirdieSync only have access to mobile folders located under ActiveSync/E-mail Outlook accounts. It is not supposed to synchronize mobile folders in Pocket Outlook which are under additional mobile mail accounts to access to pop3 and smtp servers. I made a test ag...

OK. I will try to be clearer. If I am not mistaken, under Pocket Outlook, there are two type of mail accounts: One is only used for synchronization and you cannot bind it for instance to smtp and pop3 servers. This mail is called ActiveSync under Windows Mobile 2003 or E-Mail Pocket Outlook under W...

In which Pocket Outlook mail account and in which folder did you write your mail ? Was it in ActiveSync/E-mail Outlook (only this mobile mail account is synchronized) or in another mobile mail account ? I am usually using my domain name address. Would rather not post it here for the spambots to fin...

you ask if I still have mails that were previously synced with Tbird? Not quite sure what you mean by this. You are synchronizing 3 folders: Inbox, Save and Sent. Normally, as you didn't set any mail synchronization period, all the mails of these Thunderbird folders should be present on the mobile ...

I think it's possible to use Mozbackup. Copying the profile directory is a more global action... So if I understand well, you received mails directly on your PDA, wanted to have them synchronized with Thunderbird but they disappeared. But you still have the mails that were previously synchronized w...

Do you still have them in Thunderbird ? (in any case, make a backup of your Thunderbird profile: C:\Documents and Settings\<users name>\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\<profile id> ) Did they disappear on the mobile as soon as you connected your mobile for synchronization ? Did you see them d...

No mails in any folders in Pocket Outlook.

I just opened the file in Dreamweaver and got something else entirely.

I think this is more what it should look like.

When I look at the last traces in the log, it seems that the mails are still on the Pocket PC and I saw no traces that indicated that the mails were removed from Thunderbird by synchronization. Could you described me precisely what happened ? Without modifying your BirdieSync options , coul...

Hello, Could you tell me at which date (and time if you now it) the problem first occured ? Thanks. I think it first happened about a week ago. Then it worked fine, but lost my mail today. I checked all the folders on the PDA Outlook, but don't see it anywhere. I saw it vanish off the PDA screen du...

Syncing from PDA to PC makes mail vanish in both places

Hi, Birdie Sync worked fine when I first installed it. Now, trying to sync mail from the PDA makes it disappear both places. I have posted the error logs on my site rather than Tolstoy this thread. http://www.forkedatfark.org/Tutorials/BirdieSync/WCESCOMM.LOG.txt http://www.forkedatfark.org/Tutorial...
