Re: Unacceptably long syc times
Can you confirm that you also synchronize your Android device on your laptop with another BirdieSync server installed on your laptop ? Yes. The desktop and laptop have their own separate installations of BirdieSync 3.1.0.1, and both synchronize with the same Android device(s). Is the synchronizatio...

Re: Unacceptably long syc times
I would need the full log archive to investigate on your problem. More personally identifiable information in those logs than I am willing to share. Seems that the basic issue is that BirdieSync feels the need to completely rebuild the Synchronization3.sdb file in the C:\Users\username\AppData\Roam...

Re: Unacceptably long sync times
And another issue with sync times is with events. If you re-sync after a complete sync, on the same machine to the same android device, contacts complete in a few seconds, but events take half an hour. This is with NO CHANGES to events. log follows: Local 2017-11-13 16:07:21::839 [Synchronizer] List...

Unacceptably long syc times
Have been using BirdieSyc since early 2014 and this has been a constant problem. Currently using 3.1.0.1 We use Birdie to fully sync between a desktop profile and an Android device. Then the profile (unchanged and identical) is copied to a laptop. Takes a little over 3 minutes to copy a 5.25 GB prof...

Re: Very long sync times
Not an issue. I am back to my original machine. Copied the profile from the laptop to the desktop machine. First attempt at sync wants to replace over 900 contacts out of 1300. Will do the deed overnight and forward the log file(s) via email.

Re: Very long sync times
I will follow your suggestions when I return and can access both machines ~ however, that will only be towards the end of this month.
Before I do the log files, is there a way to clear the existing logs so that the new logs are 'clean'?
Thanks for the detailed response.

Re: Very long sync times
>Do you use the same BirdieSync server installed on the desktop, or do you use a new BirdieSync server installed on the laptop ? There is no 'old' or 'new' server. Birdie is installed on both Windows devices. I use the BirdieSync server which is on the same windows machine as the Thunderbird profile...

Re: Very long sync times
Hello, Just to be clear as to terminology. I only synchronize 'with' BirdieSync as the default local 'calendar' on android devices. Otherwise, I am talking about using BirdieSync to perform synchronization between Thunderbird on a computer with contacts and calendar on an android device. >Was it a p...
