Lightning 1.0b2pre
Would BS2 work with Lightning 1.0b2pre? Not sure if I can "downgrade" to beta1.

Re: Androïd
You can already sync Lightning with Google Calendar, and I presume Android is on good terms with Google Calendar
If you use IMAP for your mails there should be no need for mail syncing.
Address books I'm not sure about, though.

Re: ROM update
Yes, certainly after I uninstalled the old version and as far as I can remember before I installed the new one.

Re: ROM update
The SMS sync feature is indeed very cool ;) Thanks for your help, I managed to carry out the ROM update without loosing any data in the process. However, I encountered a strange issue, and would like to ask if you had any idea what could have happened. Since I was installing stuff anyway, I decided ...

ROM update
Hi, I would like to update the ROM on my phone. In order to avoid data loss (as well as data duplication) I would like to ask for your advice. The phone came with a backup utility, but I'm hesitant if I should use it. The ROM upgrade instructions are telling me that I should delete the partnership b...

Compatibility with Samsung processors
Could you please let me know if BirdieSync was compatible with the Samsung S3C6400 processor (I've read that it had an ARM "core", so I guess it should be...). I'm looking into Acer's dual-sim phone, the DX900 model, http://www.acer.com/smartphone/spech1.html). Would BirdieSync have issues managing ...

Re: WMDC partnerhip lost
I encountered some other issues, namely I could not connect to my employer's VPN as Windows did not detect that there was an active internet connection (although there was one). After some investigation it turned out that the recently installed VMWare was causing the issue. After disabling VMWare's ...

WMDC partnerhip lost
Strictly speaking this is not a BirdieSycn issue, I'm just hoping that you can lend me a hand here... My issue is that WMDC seems to delete the partnership after every sync (even if the phone is connected via USB all the time). I'm on Vista, running WMDC 6.1.6965. I use an HTC710 smartphone (WM 6). ...

Re: Birdysync doesn't work with new Lightning?
The update should arrive very shortly - when Lightning .8 was released the BirdieSycn update became available the same day. Next time turn automatic update of extensions off... In the meantime, you may want to install the beta version of the next BirdieSync release, which supports Lightning 0.9 (loo...

Re: Thundernote
Hmmm, I tried Thundernote and to be honest I wasn't very happy with it. I mean it does what it should do, but I don't think it is a proper add-on, there is practically no integration with Thunderbird, it is pretty much a separate application apart from the shortcut icon you can place in TB's toolbar...

Re: my thoughts
If there was a free sync plug-in to TB as good as BirdieSync, I would use it. There isn't any, so I bought BirdieSync - worth every penny. Simple as that.

Re: Open Office 3.0 & birdiesync
well, one of the largest disadvantages of OpenOffice compared to MS Office has always been the lack of an Outlook-like e-mail and calendaring application. With Lightning (which is supposedly going to be part of Thunderbird by default in the not too distant future) Thunderbird is somewhat closer to O...
