Re: Windows Mobile user moving on to Android with questions
Cheers for that, it was spot on. It seems a shame that I will now have my events split across two calendars - one for events created on the PC and one for events created on the phone, but I can understand you have no other option due to the Android architecture. And as you will see its not as if I d...

Re: Windows Mobile user moving on to Android with questions
Unfortunately it seems I still have an issue. I added a second event to my phone, and it does appear it is added to the "Local" calender (see below), and as you can see I selected this calender for synchronisation. http://www.digitaljoat.com/Temp/BirdieSyncAndroidProblems/Events2.jpg However when I ...

Re: Windows Mobile user moving on to Android with questions
Thank you very much Birdy for that enlightening response. It makes much more sense to me now. Regarding the task application, as usual it would require time... Not sure it would be necessary to have a BirdieSync API. Actually it might be the contrary: offer a standardized task provider that BirdieSy...

Re: Windows Mobile user moving on to Android with questions
I just noticed Thunderbird (well - Lightning, but you all know I meant that right) does allow you to add multiple reminders. Most cool - I never noticed that in all these years using it. However I added an event with multiple reminders to my calender, synced, and the event on my phone is only showin...

Windows Mobile user moving on to Android with questions
Hi I'm a long time BirdieSync user and have very happy with it using Windows Mobile 6. I've now updated to Android and am confused - this is probably more due to my not understanding Android rather than BirdieSync but I hope someone here an help me. I seem to have managed to sync things up, but I'd ...

Re: Problem with BirdieSync 2.3.5.1 WM6.1 TB 6.0.1
We that was interesting, Birdiesync was in the untrusted section of the firewall. Moving it to trusted and setting its permissions to allow seems to have worked. Although Thunderbird failed to startup the first 2 times I tried to sync, on the 3rd attempt all worked fine, so I think that was it. Chee...

Contact conflict
Hi, When I last synced my contacts it found a conflict with one of the contacts that I had modified on both my phone and my PC. And I was given the option to accept either the version on the phone, or the version on the PC. It would be great if we could view each of these before making the decision....

Re: Problem with BirdieSync 2.3.5.1 WM6.1 TB 6.0.1
Right... After looking at your link I tried disabling my firewall (Kaspersky Internet Security 12). While it was disabled I could start BirdieSync manually, and a sync worked correctly. Initially I paused Kaspersky for 3 minutes, which was sufficient time for a sycn. I then disconnected the device, ...

Re: Problem with BirdieSync 2.3.5.1 WM6.1 TB 6.0.1
Thanks for the reply. Looking at the properties for BirdieSync.exe security settings all my permissions are greyed out, but all the groups and users, which are SYSTEM, Administrators ( <MachineName> \Administrators) Users ( <MachineName> \Users) have ticks on the allow for Read & Execute (and no tic...

Problem with BirdieSync 2.3.5.1 WM6.1 TB 6.0.1
Hi, I'm having a problem with BirdieSync 2.3.5.1 connecting to my TouchPro2 running WM6.1 and using Thunberbird 6.0.1 When the laptop (Vista 64 SP2) starts up, I briefly see the BirdieSync icon in the notification tray, but then it vanishes. As such when my phone is connected I can't sync. This has ...

Sync Conflict Preview
Hi, I just synced my Windows Mobile Phone with Thunderbird and was told I have a conflict on one of the events, did I want to keep the one on the device or the one on the phone? The problem was without seeing them both I did not know. Would it be possible to add a preview function (or even better a ...

Question about phone "File As" & Thunderbiird "Display"
Hi, I finally got round to upgrading to Thunderbird 3 & BirdieSync 2, but have just noticed something which seems different from the previous version.. I am syncing a PC running Thunderbird 3.1.7 on Vista 64 with an HTC Touch Pro 2 running Windows Mobile 6.1 With BirdieSync 1.7.1.3 I seem to recall ...
Re: Androïd
I generally hate "me too" forum posts... but....
Me Too.
With the coming of Windows 7 I fully expect my next phone to be based on Android, and I too would prefer to sync locally to Thunderbird.
To paraphrase... "Help us Birdie!.. You are our only hope!" ;o)

Re: Outlook Notes
Typical. I never noticed outlook synced the notes as well, and I only find out it does as I'm trying to get away from outlook :x ! Knowing that before would have been really useful. It would be great if this feature were added to BirdieSync (even if it requires using another thunderbird plugin to sh...
