Re: Birdiesync 3.0 - final version after test period

BirdieSync 3.0 has been released on the App Store, Google Play and BirdieSync web site. Note that it is still possible to synchronize with BirdieSync 2.x server with a 3.0 app (there is a switch in BirdieSync app settings to support BirdieSync 2.x). This version has a lot of changes compared to vers...

Re: can't get birdiesync to find thunderbird

Hello cwavontuur, Is automatic connection ticked in BirdieSync options in Thunderbird ? (menu Tools/BirdieSync/Options) Is "Server is on this PC" option selected ? When you say Thunderbird doesn't connect, do you see an error message displayed in Thunderbird ? (in BirdieSync toolbar, or in a window ...

Re: "Preparing syncronization" lasts long time, Syncronizati

If you have a problem or found a bug, you can use BirdieSync menu "Help/Report a problem". You may then give a description of the problem and logs will be automatically archived and send to support with it (logs are very usefull for anylisis). It is recommended to have your sources connected (Androi...

Re: "Preparing syncronization" lasts long time, Syncronizati

Hello Lungo, If the address books or calendars you synchronize together are synchronized in "Combine" mode, the "Preparing" phase can be slow, especially if you have several thousands of items as you have. This is because in order to avoid creating duplicates at first synchronization, items are exam...

Re: Connection User or password mismatch

Hello Lungo, Did you check there is not a hidden space before of after the connection user name ? (in BirdieSync settings on your Android device, and in the User edition window on the PC) The user name is not case sensitive but the password is. If you still have the problem, right after the user nam...

Re: Can't Sync Google Calendars

@Chris: I understood well that you had no problem in calDAV mode. But actually since it hasn't been possible to presently reproduce this problem with Google Calendar Provider, any (other) user which still has these failures may send its logs to support for analysis.

Re: Can't Sync Google Calendars

Hello Chris and Kjoere, If one of you still have problems with failures for a lot of events in the Google calendar (accessed though the Google Calendar Provider), could you please install latest version beta 25 (some specific traces were added in this build) and then after you get all the failures i...

Re: Duplicating address book.......

Hello Peter,

Could you please build a log archive with menu "Tools/Archive logs..." and send BirdieSyncLog.zip file to support(at)birdiesync.com ?
That may help to analyze the problem.
Thanks.

Re: Upgrade from v2

Hello sgay, Ideally, if you have the same event present on both the iPhone and in Thunderbird and choose "Combine" option, BirdieSync should recognize the events as identical and not transfer and copy them to the other source, duplicating them. So at the end of synchronization, the 2 events should b...
