I think to make a clean solution every calendar should be a own sync account on android. In this case you can decide what you want to see and the color -issues is solved too. [Update]This is the way BirdieSync works, but you can't change the color [/Update]

Custom fields wasn't synced on Android
The custom fields of thunderbird wasn't synced to android contacts. Is this not possible or what is the reason? Or does I make something wrong?

I know that birdie-sync for windows mobile based on active sync, so it's difficult to run it on Linux. For android you have your own mechanism, so why don't you create a Linux version.
