Yes, another user reported the same problem. All all-day events spanning over several days are converted to one single all-day event on the mobile.
For the moment, the workaround is to use events with times going from 00h00 to 23h59. That should work. This problem will be treated in next release.

You are right. Presently "Categories" field is not synchronized for events and tasks. I think it should be possible to implement it. But I will have to think on how it could be done properly since it could interfere with future multi calendar synchronization...

The Preferences.xml file had a format used by an old version of BirdieSync. Deleting it and reinstalling BirdieSync solved the problem.
