Hello, If you close Thunderbird or Sunbird while a synchronization occurs, it will lead to an "attention required" message. The only way to restart the synchronization properly is to disconnect and reconnect your mobile. If you don't want to have Thunderbird or Sunbird regularly launched by BirdieSy...

Logs to be sent to support in case of problems

In order to investigate your problem, some logs are needed to analyze it. Here is the procedure to follow: Please, close Thunderbird and Sunbird, then disconnect and reconnect your mobile. Right after the problem, without restarting any process (Thunderbird for instance) and without disconnecting yo...

Did you try to delete the ActiveSync partnership and recreate it ? Could you send me the following log files (support@birdiesync.com) ? Right after the problem, without restarting any process (Thunderbird for instance) and without disconnecting your mobile to avoid the overwriting of the logs, pleas...

The error returned here indicates a potential connection problem with the mobile... Did you try to soft reset your device and then reconnect it ? You could also try to restart ActiveSync with this little software: http://micrologics.co.uk/library/ast/ Did you try to disable your firewall if you have...

It could be nice to isolate the problems. Do you succeed in synchronizing some events for instance or are they all unresolved ? If you have only one event in your remote calendar, do you succeed in synchronizing it ? I will need some logs to investigate your problem and check if can find some errors...

Hello, You are the first one to report this kind of error. Other users use the synchronization with remote calendars and it seems to work fine. But it doesn't mean that we don't have a problem with yours... My first question is, without BirdieSync (I mean without connecting your mobile), do you have...

Actually, I don't know the reason. In some cases, the name of the process is displayed as an old DOS short name instead of the usual long name. If someone has information about that, I would be happy to know it...
This problem will be addressed in next version.

Hello, Thank you for the link. Actually, another user had a similar problem. It was caused by the fact that Thunderbird process name was "THUNDE~1.EXE" instead of "thunderbird.exe". BirdieSync was not detecting properly that Thunderbird was already launched and tried to launch another instance causi...

Usually, when there are no checkboxes in ActiveSync options menu, it means that the mobile is not unlocked... But there can be other reasons (cf FAQ in help file). You said that your mobile is unlocked but for instance with SPV orange mobile, they are not fully unlocked by the official procedure... ...

Thank you for your post ! Regarding the long first synchronization, I don't know if that could be normal and could be easily sped up by pressing the "Sync" button on the device (as described in the help FAQ or in this thread ) or if it was related to another problem like the one you described. If yo...

Hello, Under Windows Mobile 5.0, if you've just selected an item (cards, events, ...) in ActiveSync options window in order to synchronize them or stop their synchronization, the first synchronization can take a very long time (sometimes several minutes). Well, that's a "normal" behavior. It seems t...
