Problem to install BirdieSync on Samsung i600

Post by cbis »

Hi all,
I'm having trouble installing BirdieSync on my new Samsung i600. It looks like my phone is locked for unsigned applications, so I followed the "How to unlock a mobile" topic. I downloaded regeditSTG and went to modify the appropriate keys but it didn't work. I needed to change the 0000101a and 0000101b values, but each time I got the same error message : "Unable to perform this operation"... I even tried with regeditSTG2, but it didn't work either...
So BirdieSync cannot work properly, as I get an error message when I turn my phone on...
Any help would be gratefully appreciated!
Thanx in advance and have a nice day!
Cedric

Hello Cedric,

Did you try to find and use SDA_ApplicationUnlock ? That ususally works with the Samsung i600.

Hi !
Thank you very much for your reply. I had tried the SDA_ApplicationUnlock, and it hadn't worked. I tried it again today, with the same result : the error message says "SDA_ApplicationUnlock is not a valid Windows CE application"... I don't really get why...
Thanx for your help!

SDA_ApplicationUnlock should not be executed on the mobile device but on the desktop. It is a WIN32 application.
