After have been using Birdiesyns for a few month suddenly Thunderbird one day refuses to start. Only in standard-mode I could get it started. I found out that removing Birdiesync solved the problem.
Now trying to reinstall birdiesync it crashes during the install-process.

Can anyone help please....

Hello,

Are you under Windows XP, Vista, 7 ?
Could you tell me which process crashes ? Is it the installer itself or Thunderbird ?
If it's the installer, if you choose to display the details in the installer windows, what was the last message displayed ?
Thanks.

Sorry!

Using Windows Vista. Last message is after I choose installationmap. When pushing "NEXT" the last text in the install-window is "updating preference file" and I got the error "Birdiesync installer stoppped......"

bedst regards

After the crash, could you please send to support(at)birdiesync.com the following files:

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<users name>\Application Data\BirdieSync\Log\Install.log
Vista: C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\BirdieSync\Log\Install.log

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<users name>\Application Data\BirdieSync\Preferences.xml
Vista: C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\BirdieSync\Preferences.xml

If the file exists (if you you were using a very old BirdieSync version):
C:\Program Files\BirdieSync\Preferences.xml

(Application Data is a hidden folder: in explorer window, you must check the option "Show hidden files and folders")

Thanks.

Hi birdie
Thanks for your reply. The files you wanted was both empty, but the install run smooth after deleting the map.
