Vista Installed OK, but Mobile does not sync

Have got BirdieSync 1.5.1.2 installed on Vista, using WMDC. All appears to be installed correctly, and I have selected Cards, Events, Mails Tasks in Windows Mobile Device Centre. However, nothing syncs and each time I go back to WMDC I have to make these selections again, even though they have been saved to the device. (See below)

Ideas please?

Hello David,

Did you have a warning about security policy when you installed BirdieSync ?
Do you use a Pocket PC or a Smartphone ?

I recall seeing a warning when installing, but no instructions were apparent. Am using a Smartphone (Qtek) running Windows Mobile 2003 second Edition.

Could you post the content of BirdieSyncInstall.log located in C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Temp ?

Your smartphone is locked and needs to be unlocked to allow Birdie
I suggest you to read this thread to know how to unlock a mobile.
Since it is a Qtek (HTC phone), you may try to use regeditSTG.exe to edit your registry. It is a registry editor signed for HTC mobiles.

Hi - I have regeditst2.exe and have put this on the phone. However, the thread you pointed me to does not appear to tell me what changes are required in order to unlock the mobile device. Can you shed some light on this please?

Thanks for your help.

Sorry, I put the wrong thread reference. I edited the thread link in the previous post. You should find more valuable information...
