Unable to install BirdieSync: ActiveSync required

The installation of BirdieSync fails with the error message "ActiveSync not installed". However, I do have ActiveSync installed (v4.0).
Should I upgrade to v4.5?

Yes you have to upgrade to ActiveSync 4.5 (which should be more reliable anyway...). Another user had the same error and upgrading solved his problem.
