No Checkboxes to Select in ActiveSync window

I recently upgraded to lightning .5 (and then subsequently) upgraded to BirdieSync 1.5.5.0.

Prior to this, everything was working fine. Now, however, in the ActiveSync window (I'm on XP), there are no options to select for Cards, Mail, and Tasks.

As I mentioned, previously they were there and working fine--but now the options are no longer there.

I have it installed on device--and I've attempted soft-reset of device. I've also uninstalled the previous version of BirdieSync from both PC and my Treo and then re-installed. But still, no luck.
