I can't select 'Cards' and 'Events' anymore !!

Hello,
After upgrading sunbird to 0.5 my thunderbird didn't start anymore.
After some investigation I found out that I have to upgrade BirdieSync as well.
So far so good, but unfortunately I was not able to deselect the synchronisation of 'Cards' and 'Events' how the deinstallation routine advised me, it was greyed out.
So I've re-installed the new version of BirdieSync without doing so.
Now I have the problem that I can't select 'Cards' and 'Events' anymore !!
Still greyed out, but without hook.
Do you have any advice how I can fix that, is there a registry setting or something else that I can do ?
