Hi there,

I want to test birdiesync on my pc, Windows Vista 64
My Handy is the HP 514 voice messenger with Windows mobile 6,
my mail-client Thunderbird 2.0.0.6, my calender Lightning 0.5.

I installed birdiesynd on the MicroSD of my phone and followed all instructions. But it refused to syncronize Tast, Contacts und Calender.

What am I missing?

Hello,

Your mobile is a smartphone. Maybe it is application locked.

Could you give me the content of BirdieSyncInstall.log located in C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Temp so I can check if your mobile is locked ?
(Application Data is a hidden folder: in explorer window, you must check the option "Show hidden files and folders")

Local 17/08/2007 17:26:23::0694 Unsigned application policy = 1
Local 17/08/2007 17:26:23::0736 WARNING: Unsigned prompt policy is not defined (GetLastError = 0)
Local 17/08/2007 17:26:23::0778 WARNING: Privileged application policy is not defined (GetLastError = 0)

Thanks for the log. The smartphone is locked.
You may refer to this thread to know how to unlock it.
But I don't know if it is possible to "application unlock" the HP 514 voice messenger yet.

Hi,

I unlocked my HP iPAQ 514 with the MobileRegistryEditor.zip (use Google to find a download) and followed step 3 in the "Unlock-Mobile-Howto".
After adding the 2 last Keys and a little Boot of the phone it worked (and is working) like a charme.
Have a try, it doesn't hurt :-)

Greetings,
Manuel
