Syncing mails in 1.6.0.0

If BirdieSync 1.x constantly replaces your girlfriend's phone number with your mother's one, this forum is for you...

Syncing mails in 1.6.0.0

Post by Juggler »

Hi there, have run the update for 1.6.0.0 and got an error starting birdie sync on the mobile, which suggested a restart. Since doing that I am not able to sync mails at all - I have no checkboxes next to the mail folders in thunderbird, and the folders on the mobile are not being sync'd back to the pc.

Contacts are being sync'd and I presume tasks and events are, but mail nothing.

Have re-installed over the top with no change, and have tried removing and re-installing but still no change.

Any thoughts?

PS. Forgot to add the details of my setup - PDA is iPAQ hw6915 (WM5), Windows XP (ActiveSync 4.5), TB 2.0.0.6

The same here. Every restart I get this error. Uninstallation an reinstalling on the Mobile Device did not cause a fix of the problem.

Device: hx2790b with 128MB RAM, WM5
Desktop: Win XP Prof, Thunderbird v2.0.06 with Lightning v0.5, AS v4.5

Hello Justus,

After the error, could you copy and send to support(at)birdiesync.com BirdieWatcher.log and DeviceProvider.log located on the mobile in \Program Files\BirdieSync ?

In case you have problem in copying them on the device because of a sharing violation:

On your device. Launch the file explorer. Go to \Program Files\BirdieSync. Copy and paste DeviceProvider.log on the device (not on the desktop) in the same directory . For instance, that should duplicate the file DeviceProvider.log to another file named "Copy of DeviceProvidere.log". This copy will not be locked and you should be able to copy it to the desktop.

These 2 problems are corrected in version 1.6.0.2.
