Sorry for the sbject, but as BirdieSync is in French on my computter, I wrote the message as I read it on my screen.

So, sometimes, I have this message aboot Cards or Events (more often): how can I know which item is concerned ? When I use "Resoudre les éléments", it try again and tell the same message...
With beta version, it was traced in log files, but log files stay empty now.

There are mainly two cases to have unresolved items.
The first one is because an item was modified on both mobile and desktop. If you click on the "unresolved items" link, a window should be displayed asking you to choose which item (mobile or desktop you want to keep).
The second one is because an error occured during syncronization...
It's strange no error was logged at all.
Did you check the device log as well ? DeviceProvider.log in \Program Files\BirdieSync on the mobile.
Notice that this trace file is overwritten if you disconnect and reconnect the mobile. Same thing for ExternalService.log if you restart Thunderbird.
Could you also send me the file WCESMgr.log located in C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Temp\
Thanks.

After a lot of work, I succed: on the pda, I found the event giving trouble in
DeviceProvider.log
It was a date of an anniversery of a contact: AgendaFusion shows them in the agenda !
Even after deleted the event or settaing AgendaFusion to do not shows theses dates, the error was still there. I succed when I delete this date in the contact card, and then recreate it !!!

I would have liked to know why this event was so special... Do you still have the DeviceProvider log so I could at least have a look to the error code ?
Other questions. Did you have an unresolved item on the appointment or on the contact ? Did you do a modification recently regarding this contact or event ? I would really be happy to isolate the error, because I don't seem to have problems with yearly appointments. Maybe I should play a little bit with Agenda Fusion to see if could reproduce the error...

Could you also tell me which version of Agenda Fusion you have ? Because on version 8, I didn't have any birthday entries in appointments although it was still possible to have the birthdays associated with contacts in today view for instance. So maybe I missed something but I'm wondering if they changed their way of managing birthdays in this version...

I'm using the very last official version of AgendaFusion: 8.09

I think that something was wrong in the date format, and the only way to re-calculate it was to change the date, as I did in re-entering it.

There is still something I don't understand. When I set a birthday date in a contact, Agenda Fusion doesn't create an associated recurring appointment in the calendar even if it displays the birthday in the different views (today, month, etc.) So did I miss an option in Agenda Fusion to do it ?
Could also tell me it the error you saw in the DeviceProvider.log was on a contact or an appointment ?
Thanks.

It was an apointement. The full message was:

Thanks for the log. For the moment, I'm not able to reproduce the problem. I created several yearly appointments (all day or not), modified several occurences but I have no problem in doing the synchronization. :? So what I will do is trace the faulty event in a more complete way to better understant what happends. Would you like a test version with these enhanced traces or do you prefer to wait for the next official release ?

I had a look again to Agenda Fusion. From what I see, it doesn't seem that Agenda Fusion creates any recurring appointments in calendar for contact birthday dates. The event which is in the log is more like an outlook event. Could it be the case ? So for the moment I don't see the link with the contact date... Notice also that when a synchronization error occurs, it can be necessary to disconnect and reconnect the mobile in order to get rid of the error.

From what I see in the log, it seems the recurring events (anniversary) had at least one of its occurence modified. Do you remember having modified an occurence of this series ? If yes do you remember in which way ? Does this kind of problems occur very often ?

Thanks.

I already try this whithout success.

It is not very often. In this case, I set 'all the day' so as the alarm is set 15' before, it starts the day before... So perhaps there is a difficulty to link the event ???

Why not but remeber that
1) I can't know when this will occur again
2) I am a little bit overbooked, so I wil not be very re-active to answer to your question
So if you really need traces, I will do it. But I didn't need a new version for this little mistake.

OK. Enhanced traces in case of error will be integrated in the next release to better identify the cause of the error. Thanks for raising this problem.
