Sync is deleting my contacts and not transferring new ones

I am having just a bit of trouble here. When I start the sync, it will work fine for my sunbird. However, lets say I program a contact into Thunderbird, when I sync, it will not only not transfer from thunderbirds contacts to my phone, but it will delete my cards as well in thunderbird....any answers?

Is it the first time you install BirdieSync or is it an update ?
Could you repeat the steps that you described me and after this problematical synchronization, could you send me the logs as described in this thread ?

Note: you can backup your mobile contacts with a tool like PPCPimBackup and export your cards in Thunderbird in Address Book/Tools/Export.
