Hi,
Please excuse newbie on forum. I did try a search and didn't find anything similar.
My problem is that after the first sync (device connected, or removed and reconnected) I find I'm unable to edit and save, or create a new appointment in the Calendar, until I close the Thunderbird/Lightning combo and restart it.
This occurs after every "first" sync.
Thunderbird 2.0.0.9 (200071031)
Lightning 0.7-tb-win.xpi
BirdieSync 1.6.0.4
Vista Home Premium
PDA is running Windows Mobile 2003
Anybody else seen this?

Re: Lightning - add or edit fails after first sync
Hello,
Before connecting your mobile device, could you open the error console (menu Tools/Error console) and enlarge it ? Then connect your mobile device and wait for the end of the synchronization.
Could you tell me if you see both the alerts "start" and "end of synchronization" ?
Could you send me the logs as described in this thread ?
Could you also take a snapshot of the error console and send it to me. ("Alt-Print screen" to copy the window after having selected it. You must then paste it in your mail, or in a Word, Paint or GIMP document for instance).
Thanks.

Re: Lightning - add or edit fails after first sync
Hi Birdy,
There is nothing of interest in the error console. Only line states:-
BirdieSync: Initialization completed !
I seem to notice the problem more when I'm on first connect. After the system boots up, I connect the PDA. Birdiesync kicks off and starts up Thunderbird/Lightning if it's not already running. This was when I was seeing the problem of not then being able to edit and save a calendar entry. I'm not currently able to reproduce the problem.
I normally sync with two systems. My personal one runs mail and calendar as advised. My work system runs Lotus Notes 7 - I'm now wondering if it's perhaps entries from there that I cannot edit/save in the calendar until I stop/start Thunderbird/Lightning.
If I capture error data I'll send it to you. For now thanks for your time.
Rgds.

Re: Lightning - add or edit fails after first sync
Hi Birdy,
I've emailed you console log and other files as per the other thread.
As described in the email problem flow is:-
1. Connect PDA
2. Sync starts
3. Thunderbird & Lightning are started by the sync
4. No edit of calendar possible after sync completes, restart of calendar required.
Pop up is seen stating start/end of sync.
