Slow sync and CPU Usage 100%

Hello Guys,
while syncing my sunbird 0.7 with Birdiesync the CPU usage rises up to 100% and really nothing happens.
It seems to be a problem in sunbird, but they could not help me. Is there a common solution für porblems like that?
No Antivirus tool is active.
