Hi Birdie,

Can you help :
I use 5 google calendars synced with Lighntning/Win mobile 6, on my laptop.
As soon as my net connection is off... my Lightning calendar is empty...

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,

Which version of the Google calendar provider do you have ?
Is it a recent problem ? Was it working fine before ?
If you create a calendar not synchronized with BirdieSync, do you have the same problem ?
Thanks.

I wasn"t using a laptop before, so I didn't pay attention.
I'm using the lastest Google Sync extention (0.3.1).
The only local agenda (the one containing my tasks) appears offline.
Apparently every user of the Google Sync Extention, together with the absence of tasks on Google synced.

Thanks,
Patrice

Hi Birdie,
Still on my problem.
Have you tried the lastest version of http://gcaldaemon.sourceforge.net/download.html recently ?
Also on https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/thunderbird/addon/4631 some user tend to say that offline use is now availlable since latest version...

Do you know anything about it ?

Thx

It seems that if you change your Lightning view (for instance montly view -> weekly view), the events disappear. This can be understood, since the Google calendar is accessed through the network and is not really present on your desktop.

In the next version of the Google calendar provider (0.4 which works with Lightning/Sunbird 0.8), a optional cache mechanism is offered which seems to keep your events even if there is no connection. This new version seems very promising.

I know that other users use gcalDaemon and use it to synchronize with BirdieSync. But I didn't recently tested it.

I test it, with portable version, no problem.

You can sync sms reminder by editing the config txt.
