synchronization of 2 calendars

Post by john1 »

Hello,

i have thunderbird and lightning and use 2 calendars. One private and one for work.

In the BirdieSync options I have chosen these 2 calendars to be synchronized with the HTC MDA Compact III.
But that dos not work. Only the default calandar is synchronized.

What do I have to do?

John

Hello john1,

Could you describe your problem more precisely ? Which kind of problem do you have ?
Do you see an error in ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Center ?
Do you have an alert raising from the task bar ?
Are all the events of your second calendar not synchronized ?
Is it from the Desktop to the Mobile device or the contrary ?
Do you have this problem if you create a single event ?
Could you describe what you do exactly so that I can try to reproduce the problem ?
Thanks.

Hello,

first I created a calendar in lightning.
There I have 2 calendars.
First is calendar 1 for work.
And second is calendar 2 for private.

When I enter a date in lightning in calendar 1 (default) and I synchnice with the cellular the date is in the cellular too.
When I enter a date in calendar 2 and synchronzie with the cellular the date is not in the cellular. In Active Sync i see that he do not detect a change!

When I enter a date in my cellular it is automatic in calendar 1 and if I synchronize the date is in calendar 1 in Lightning too.

I have that problem with every dates in calendar 2.

Thank you
John

Sorry to ask you that, but could you confirm that your second event calendar is selected to be synchronized in BirdieSync options ?
Is your second calendar a local calendar or a remote one ? If remote, which type ?
Did you define a period of synchronization for events in BirdieSync options ?
If you create a single event in the second calendar, not recurring and with start and end times (not an all day event) and then reconnect your mobile device, this event is not synchronized on the mobile device?
Thanks.

I have found the problem.
I chosen the option to synchronize both calendars, but I have chosen it unter Task and not unter Events!!!

This was the problem.
Now everything works fine.

Thank you for the help.
