From Outlook adress book to Thunderbird

If BirdieSync 1.x constantly replaces your girlfriend's phone number with your mother's one, this forum is for you...

From Outlook adress book to Thunderbird

Post by Arfy »

Hi,

I have Outlook on XP at work and Thunderbird on Vista at home. A HTC Diamond sync at work with Outlook.
I tested Birdy Sync (before buying  ) to sync it at home with Thunderbird. It worked ... but ... I noticed for example
- On Outlook and phone, I have 3 emails for some contacts, and only 2 on Thunderbird
- With some other contacts informations (don't remember, have to check home) they are well shown on Outlook and Phone, but not at all on thunderbird.
Is this by design on Thunderbird ?
A limitation ?

Warm regards,
Arfy

Hello Arfy,

If you look at BirdieSync help file ("Tools/BirdieSync/Help..." then "Contacts/Mapped-Unmapped contact fields" sections), you'll get all the Pocket Outlook fields which are synchronized with Thunderbird ones. So as you mentioned some contact fields in Pocket Outlook are not synchronized because there are no matching fields in Thunderbird address book cards.
