Birdiesync won't sync email any attachments

Hi I'm evaluating the program in the hope it will work well with thunderbird.
I have been able to sync the contacts, calendar and emails, but the email attachments have not moved over to the pda. I have checked about the size of the emails and they are not all large.
Can you please give any tips?
