Diff Sync

Something that would be nice but would probably take a long time to implement is a diff sync where the sync will automatically recognize similar entries and not make duplicates but also not rely on one resource being the master. Similar to the way that active sync is setup with Outlook. That would be cool. BTW awesome app.

A new mechanism was implemented in 1.4.0.2: if you choose "Combine" option during the creation of a new ActiveSync partnership, duplicated items for contacts, events and tasks are automatically removed. Mails are not treated.
But this mechanism is very strict: only absolutely identical items are removed. It means that some items that could look similar at first sight will be considered as different. For instance they could have a different alarm. That could happen because of the differences between Pocket Outlook and Thunderbird/Sunbird that lead to some differences in the way the items are managed on the device and on the desktop.
