Top Backup Tip

Post by rfcvb72 »

Hi all

Just had a major nightmare with Lightning, confused after my device refused to sync, I managed to lose my calendar and contacts in lightning, Outlook and My XDA2i

However, lucky for me my Mozbackup backup made a few days ago, after installing Birdiesync turns out to have backed up my Lightning files as well, lucky as the author claims sporadic success with extensions.

Mozbackup is freeware and backs up your profile in Firefox/Thunderbird/Mozilla/Seamonkey/Netscape, though only in windows I believe

I have been using it for over a year without problems

After a discussion with rfcvb72, it appeared that this problem was not caused by BirdieSync. :) But as it is shown here, it is an excellent idea to regularly backup your data as recommended in the documentation...
Thanks for sharing this information with us !

Hello.

Mozbackup is a great tool and yes you should backup regularly for all the reasons imaginable.

Allthough i use another too to backup my caledars. its an extention called Automatic ics-Export on Close you can define where to backup up and even add button to buttons bar to make the backups, etc... here is the url for the thing... better explain there

Ciao!
