Freeze or Lock ups

I recently upgraded to v2 of BirdieSync and love it so far. Having your own sync engine is great as with v1.n and ActiveSync, I was usually guaranteed a Windows crash while syncing my PDA's back up file. However, I do experience a couple of minor problems, while syncing my PDA, v2 sometimes locks up (meaning that the tabs do not respond.)

A second problem is that BirdieSync appeared to be running in the background (as evidenced by the Task Manager) but I had no icon in the service tray nor did it respond to a run command. I blew it off with Task Manager and restarted it with no problems.

Both of these are minor problems which I can work around for the moment with kills and restarts but it is something to note. Also, if I can do anything to assist, please let me know.

Hello jpalmer,

Glad you like this new version of BirdieSync. I'll try to see if I notice the problems you describe. The difficulty is to reproduce them. If you find a scenario that I could reproduce, that would be great.
Not sure it could help, but if one of the problem happens again, please send a log archive to support(at)birdiesync.com with Thunderbird menu "Tools/BirdieSync/Archive logs...".

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but every time I generate a log file the contents of the ZIP file is 0 (all three). Ahhh, doesn't help much.....
