Syncing IMAP Folders with Thunderbird

Post by toltol »

So far I've been very happy with Birdiesync, however there's a problem that I just cannot seem to solve:

When synchronizing an IMAP emailaccount (gmail), birdiesync creates the whole structure of the folders, but adds a "t-" in front of the name. Which would be fine if you do not intend to to also access the imap account from your smartphone because if you do, then you also get the 'normal' (=correct) structure of the folder since pocket outlook creates them.
So in the end, you basically have all your folders TWICE, one copy as it should be and another set with the "t-" prefix.

Is there a solution to this, or is this intended?

Hello toltol,

By now, Inbox is synchronized in T-Inbox for instance to avoid conflicts if you download your mails on your mobile device from the Internet and also download them on your desktop. I agree that it would be better to have only one unique Inbox. I hope that a solution will be provided in a next version of BirdieSync.
