HTC HD2 with Anroid (Hyperdroid)

Hello,

I am using Birdiesync since 1 1/2 years with my HTC HD2 and the original Windows Mobile 6.5 !
I was boring using windows and I wanted to have an Anroid System on my mobilephone so I flashed it with an Android version called
HyperDroid-CM7-v5.5.2[a2sd][CyanogenMod7 LEO 2.3.7] (you can find here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=769026)

Now I made an update on my pc for the Thunderbird using Android and not Thunderbird and I went to the market place to install
the app of Birdiesync for Android. But now I get the hint that this version is not compatible to my "O2 HTC HD2" !
But why? I have an Android System on my system. How can I fix this problem to sync my contacts and calendar with Thunderbird and my new Android mobilephone?

Here is the orignal German failure text:
Diese App ist nicht mit Ihrem O2 HTC HD2-Gerät kompatibel.
O2 HTC HD2
Dieser Artikel ist nicht mit Ihrem Gerät kompatibel.
Many thanks for your help!

Hello Muecke,

Is your device "rooted" ? (it may be if you installed a cooked ROM)
If yes, could you try to use a tool like "LCDDensity for root" to temporarily modify the screen density to another value ?
https://market.android.com/details?id=lv.n3o.lcddensity
Restart the Android market application after having changed the density and try to update BirdieSync again.

His problem is that the PC and version of Birdiesync is 2.3.9 and the latest available Android version is 2.3.7

Please push your upgrade on Androidmarket, or make it available as download on a different place

I also made the mistake of upgrading my PC desktop version to 2.3.9 and am stuck with the 2.3.7 version on my android. So I also need the newest version in the android market ;-)

Hello peter137,

You don't need a new version. Android version 2.3.7.0 is compatible with version 2.3.9.0 on the desktop. Until now, the latest version on the Android Market has always been compatible with the latest version on the desktop. :)

I still cannot download the App for my HTC HD2 from the market.

What can I do to get the app?

And what does this mean;
Is your device "rooted" ?

@Muecke

Did you try to change the LCD density of your phone to a standard value (the default one may be 167 which is not standard) as mentioned earlier ?
After changing the LCD density, you may have to clear the Market application data (Android menu Settings/Applications/Manage applications/All, then select "Market" and click on the "Clear data" button). Then reboot your device. Launch again the Market application.

Hi Birdy,

no I did not try it, because I do not know the programm.
I downloaded it from the market and I have 192 LCD density!
On which I should change it? I have already cleared the cache of the market. So if I know the LCD density I can try it again.
Thanks for answering.

Now I should have it. I changed it for testing to 240 LCD density and I could install it.
Now I will try to sync it tomorrow with my Thunderbird.
I think you should write this down into your FAQ for helping others.

Thanks for now.
