Which contact account to use

I re-installed my Android device. Now I want to synchronize, but I need to choose an account. I can choose the "Phone" and the "Gmail" account. For both options I will get a warning with some restrictions when choosing the account type.
Which account should I use?

Hello webinfo123,
The most secure account to use is Google one. You can disable Google synchronization with the cloud with Android menu Settings/Accounts & Sync and uncheck Google synchronization with the cloud. This way the Google account behaves as a local account.
The problem with the Phone account is that on some devices, if you create a contact in this account and then reboot your device, this contact is automatically moved to the Google account by Android. So it can confuse BirdieSync since the contact would disappear from the Phone account.
