BirdieSync

I'm a quite satisfied user of BirdieSync for several years now (since 2007 I believe). However, it feels like Thunderbird comes out with an update every other day and with each Thunderbird update I must manually download and install a new version of BirdySync as well. This drives me crazy. Is there a less cumbersome, more friendly procedure that I'm completely overlooking? If not, can this issue be addressed somehow?

I'm aware of the problem. Thunderbird update cycle is very short now (every 6 weeks). It would be great if BirdieSync could automatically be updated whenever a new version of Thunderbird is released to avoid having to manually download and install an update. This should be provided in the future. But it will very likely not be available for Thunderbird 17.0.
