hey,
i have something on my mind this has already asked a far time ago but i could not find it

thunderbird + lightning => latest version
iphone 5S + ios 7.06

Sync thunderbird => iphone = no problem

changed 1 contact "just the name and last name" => iphone
started sync
contact not synced with thunderbird

Found it

It was synced but only the display name at thunderbird was not changed.

I don't now if birdy can solve this problem ?
When you sync for phone to thunder automatic change the display name at thunder when first and/or last name = changed.

Hello Spider,

There is no "Display name" on the iPhone. So it's not possible to directly synchronize this field to Thunderbird.
But you have an option to select how the "Display name" can be generated in Thunderbird: menu "Tools/BirdieSync/Options...", "Contact" panel, "Miscellaneous" tab, "'Display name' synchronized to Thunderbird".
There are several possible values ("Not synchronized", "First name Last name", "Last name, First name")
Which value did you select ?

Note that you don't need the "Display name" to display and sort your contacts in the list in Thunderbird. In Address book window, you have the menu "View/Display name as" and you can choose "First name Last name" or "Last name, First name" instead of the Display name.

it was on mobile display name
now i set it on "First name Last name" => works
i try ed this one "Last name, First name" to => works

after all the time i worked with birdy
