Can't get Samsung Calendar to Sync with Lightning

New User. I have been trying to get the app to sync my Samsung Calendar (Galaxy S4) to my desktop PC, win 7, . I set up a calendar on Lightning called Samsung Calendar. I also have one called home and another called google calendar. BirdieSync says it's syncing, but not happening. The app is only syncing my Home calendar which is my Lightning main calendar and is not adding in the samsung calendar events. I can't see anywhere to add a calendar like my samsung one in birdie sync, and I don't know if I have to do this on the phone or on the PC. Contacts, BTW, look fine. Thanks for guidance. I have other questions, but will ask later.

Hello rmbelson,

Does this FAQ entry help ?

Usually if a calendar on the Android device is not synchronized, it's because the account where this calendar is located is not selected to be synchronized in BirdieSync app settings on Android (Settings button, "Event" tab) or if a calendar with an identical name (respect lower and upper cases) doesn't exist in Thunderbird and is not selected to be synchronized (Thunderbird menu "Tools/BirdieSync/Options...").

If you still have problems, right after you have the synchronization, could you send your logs to support(at)birdiesync.com ?
First, transfer the mobile device log to the desktop with "Help/Transfer mobile device log" while your mobile is connected.
Then build the log archive BirdieSyncLog.zip with BirdieSync menu "Help/Archive logs...".
You can send BirdieSyncLog.zip to support(at)birdiesync.com.

Please mention the names of the calendars you wish to synchronize in Thunderbird and on your Android device.

Thanks.

Thanks so much for the helpful answer. I think I may have figured it out, issue was whether I had right name for the Galaxy default calendar. I was calling it Samsung Calendar, but maybe is called My Calendar. I made a calendar called that in Tbird, and synch happened. But I was also fooling around with Jorte, (though I prefer the stock calendar) maybe Jorte helped me sync -- unbeknownst to me. I'll try it again after I make some calendar changes on the phone, and see if they now show up on my T-bird on the desktop.

Nope -- only synced from desktop to mobile and not the other way around. Will send logs.

A quick update on this for other users who might have a similar problem.

in Thunderbird, a calendar named "My Calendar" was created which was different from "My calendar" on the Android device (notice the upper/lower case C). To be identical, calendar names must respect lower and upper cases.
After renaming Thunderbird calendar to " My calendar" it was possible to synchronize events created on the Android device.
