Automatic install of wrong beta version on Android terminal

Hi everybody (@Birdie included!),
I just received my automatic install of BirdieSync Beta on my Android Jelly Bean (v4.2) terminal. The fact it was done silently surprised me. Automatic install being triggered by joining the group of testers is not usual but wth !

I see in the release note on the ww.birdiesync.con that Beta 16 is already out and being tested.
So why did I only receive Beta 4 on my terminal ?

Cheers.
Context: TB 38.0 and Lightning 4.0.x on an old Win XP SP3. (I did not try syncing just yet.)

Hello cbhihe,

I guess that once you registered as a tester, Google Play automatically updates the app on your Android device. It's like a "beta channel": you receive the latest updates of BirdieSync app beta on your Android device.

The version numbers on Android and on the PC are not the same. As you noticed, much more versions were released on the PC than on Android (or on iPhone). Since it would be useless to release Android versions without changes, there is a shift in the numbering. The most important thing is simply to have the latest versions installed on Android and on the PC.

Do you confirm this is right?

Hello Cedric,

Yes, at the moment the latest version for Android is 3.0.0.0 beta 4.
