Inbox folder

Post by iw2nzm »

Hello to all,

I'm sorry for my English, I'm writing from Italy. I'm trying BirdieSync on an Eten M800 (Windows Mobile 6). When I synchronize the email between the desktop and the PDA it creates a new folder called "T-Posta in arrivo" (in English it should sound as "T-Inbox"). Of course, in the PDA I have the same account I have on the PC. In fact, that folder is added to the account tree: Posta in arrivo, Posta in uscita, Posta eliminata etc... (Inbox, Sent, Deleted, etc...)

How to the BirdieSync to use the folders already present on the PDA?

Thanks!

Hello,

By now, there is no way to synchronize in the regular folders of the mobile devices (Inbox, etc.). A prefix "-T" is intentionally added to the name of these folders to avoid potential conflicts when downloading your mails from the Internet on your mobile device. I don't know yet if will be possible to synchronize directly in these folders.

Thank you for the quick answer.
So it's not a real synchronization, it's a simple copy between the Thunderbird folder (on the desktop) and a reserved folder on the PDA.
I hope in the future will be implemented a true synchronization! I use a standard sync utility to sync the Thunderbird profile folder among the desktop, the laptop and a USB pen (portable apps) and works fine! Whichever I use to receive emails doesn't matter: every time I sync the folders I get the same stuff on each device!

It would be nice if I can sync also the PDA :P
