Backup Sync-Status / restore image of system

Post by Paddy » Sat Oct 04, 2008 11:32 am

Dear Birdie,

is there a solution to backup the sync status of my pc?

Reason: when I restore my system image, I must delete all files in my storage.sdb and synchronize again all files when I connect my pda (wm6) again mit my vista laptop.

I must delete all files in my storage.sdb
What do you mean by that ?

Some information are stored by ActiveSync in the registry and in:
XP: C:\Documents and Setting\<user name>\Applications Data\Microsoft\Activesync\Profiles\<profile id> directory.
Vista: C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\ActiveSync\Profiles\<profile id>

But I am not sure it would be enough to restore ActiveSync synchronization status.

Anyway, I think it would be wiser to delete the partnership after having restored your system.
