I am keen to upgrade to Mozilla's Thunderbird 3!
Now that the beta version of Lighning 1 is available I can consider it. (Can't live without Lightning!)
However I also need BirdieSync to sync Lightning with my Windows Mobile phone!
My questions:
How stable are the beta versions of BirdieSync and Lightning?
Should I not be impatient and wait for the final versions to be released?
I am running windows 7
Thanks in advance
How stable is the beta version of Birdie Sync
Re: How stable is the beta version of Birdie Sync
Hello TimTDP,
It's difficult to give a definitive answer to your question. BirdieSync beta version has become more mature and some users reported they were very satisfied with it. Which doesn't mean that some problems could not be reported in the future... Same answer for Lightning. The only advise I could give is regularly backup your data as mentioned in this FAQ topic ! Even after the official versions are released !

Re: How stable is the beta version of Birdie Sync
I see from the notes the beta version of BirdieSync will only operate for 21 days!
Will a new version be availabe before the expiry date?
When do you think the official version will be released?
Many thanks

Re: How stable is the beta version of Birdie Sync
The next beta will have a an extension of the trial period for people who have tried the beta since the beginning.
By now, I cannot tell you when the official version will be released. Soon I hope.
