Problem with Mail Synch

Post by Heavenwalker »

I´ve a curious problem with Bridie.

When I start the Synchronisation Birdie will cancel the Synchprocess all time.
When I only synch Tasks Cards and Events everything is OK, but when I add the Mail synch then it will cancel without any error, it disconnects my acer n30 and i must reconnect it.

then I tried to synch only the Mails, but there is the same Problem.

My Pocket has Windows Mobile 2003 SE, Active Synch 4.2, Win XP SP2
do you need any other infos?

Hello,

Is it the first time you synchronize with mails ? Were you successful before ?

Could you tell me at which moment the device disconnect ? Is it during the synchronization of a mail or is when looking for modifications ?

For a first step, I would need the DeviceProvider.log located on the device in \Program Files\BirdieSync right after the error. If you cannot access to it because your device is disconnected, make a copy manually with the device file explorer to avoid the log file being overwritten the next time you connect the device after unselecting the mail in the ActiveSync option window.
Could you send it to support mail address ?

Thanks.

Yes the log is not very relevant :) Did you copy it right after the problem without reconnecting your mobile ? (just to be sure)

If you select no folders to synchronize in BirdieSync options but you keep mail synchronization activated, do you still have the problem ?

hi there,
same pb happened to me

Code: Select all

UTC 12/01/2007 22:14:26::0000 BirdieSync: version 1.4.0.2
UTC 12/01/2007 22:14:26::0000 Operating system: PocketPC, version 5.1
UTC 12/01/2007 22:14:43::0000 ERROR: Impossible to open database = fldr3300001D (GetLastError = 2)
UTC 12/01/2007 22:14:43::0000 ERROR: Cannot get message folder id even after dummy message creation (GetLastError = 0)
UTC 12/01/2007 22:14:43::0000 ERROR: Could not convert folder entry id to folder id (GetLastError = 0)
UTC 12/01/2007 22:14:43::0000 ERROR: Error while setting synchronized folders (result = 0x0) (GetLastError = 0)
UTC 12/01/2007 22:14:43::0000 ERROR: Could not get object items (GetLastError = 0)
UTC 12/01/2007 22:14:43::0000 ERROR: An error occured in object finding => stop synchronization (GetLastError = 0)
even with last birdiesync version 1.4.0.2

I have to delete partnership on pda and uncheck mails in activesync on pc.
If i check mails for synchronization , activesync closes on pda during synchronization and it fails...
Curioulsly, it worked with version 1.4.0.1 and suddenly stop working...
I installed new version but pb isn't solved
Thanks (and sorry for my english...)

This time, it seems that you have the problem on Windows Mobile 5.0... The fix was done for Windows Mobile 2003.
I will send you a modified version of BirdieSync to investigate the problem.
