Version 1.5.4.5

Bug corrections:

- Alerts were not displayed under Sunbird
- Thunderbird could crash if Lightning was not compatible with BirdieSync

Version 1.5.4.4

Changes:

- If your operating system is Windows Vista, you must install the Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 which fixes some problems regarding the reporting of synchronization errors.
- New alert messages in case of common problems

Bug corrections:

- Synchronization of a Google calendar could lead to an "attention required" (especially if the calendar had a lot of events)
- When an event on the mobile had a null start or end date, Thunderbird or Sunbird could crash
- During mobile installation, there is no longer the message: "The program you have installed may not be displayed properly..."
- Status text is now properly displayed in Sync Center with WMDC 6.1
- Preference file integrity on mobile is now checked
- During mobile installation, there is no longer the message: "The program you have installed may not be displayed properly..."
- No more error trace on mobile regarding a "suspend event"

Bug corrections:

- On Windows Mobile 5.0, events which were not "all day" in Thunderbird were synchronized on the mobile with a duration of one full day.
- An alert is now added when a calendar can not be loaded and synchronized.

- When a contact was created or synchronized for the first time with no nickname, it could lead to the mobile disconnection or to unpredictable results
- If an all day event had an incorrect format regarding dates (when not created with Thunderbird), it could lead to an unresolved item

Bug corrections:

- If a recurrent event had several modified occurrences with attendees, it could lead to an "unresolved item"
- If a card had its anniversary or birthday date which fell outside 1601/01/01 and 2999/12/31, it could lead to an "attention required"
- If Lightning was disabled, it was not possible to access to BirdieSync options and save them.
- If Thunderbird was restarted after a synchronization occured, modifications on the mobile while still connected could lead to unresolved items.
- If events or tasks synchronization was activates with no calendar selected for synchronization, it could lead to an "attention required"
- If mail option "Include mail attachments" was checked, the mail attachment size was not immediately checked to see if it has a correct value
- Trace time was UTC instead of local

Version 1.5.4.0

Changes:

- Option to automatically fill Pocket Outlook "Display name" with "Last name, First name" or "Company name" to be compliant with Pocket Outlook sorting order of contacts.
- Synchronization of the card category
- Synchronization of the card nickname

Bug corrections:

- Mails on the mobile which were outside the period of synchronization were not removed from the mobile
- If BirdieSync options were saved, some address books, calendars or mail folders could be unselected and no longer synchronized
- In BirdieSync options, if an applicatioin or profile path was a network path (beginning with \\), it could lead to the "attention required" error during synchronization or prevent from displaying address books, calendars or folders in BirdieSync options
- If a calendar was removed but still selected for synchronization, no alert was displayed

Version 1.5.3.1

Bug corrections:

- If an event had its meeting status changed from a particular value to "Undefined", the synchronization could never end

Version 1.5.3.0

For more security, the management of mail synchronization was slightly modified. If you use mail synchronization, it is strongly suggested to upgrade to this version.

Changes:

- Event attendees synchronization
- Google calendar support (but google provider must be patched: check out this thread. Also be aware that Google provider is still in development and has a lot of restrictions.
- Mails are not fully deleted on desktop when synchronized but moved to wastebasket
- Messages in mail folders not synchronized on mobile are no longer deleted
- More explicit alerts when common errors are met

Bug corrections:

- Recurring events whose date was inside event synchronization period (2 weeks for instance) were not synchronized. Furthermore, non recurrent events which went out from this period didn't disappear from the mobile although they were no longer synchronized.
- BirdieSync could conflict with other extensions. It is now better isolated
- On Pocket PC 2003, mobile could get disconnected at synchronization beginning
- All day event created with a time zone different from the mobile one could lead to unresolved items
- If some BirdieSync options were not properly set, Thunderbird or Sunbird could crash during synchronization after an alert was raised.
- It was possible to open several instances of BirdieSync options under Sunbird

Version 1.5.2.0

Changes:

- Thunderbird 2.0 support
- calDav calendar support (but Lightning/Sunbird must be patched: contact support)

Users who tried BirdieSync previously can test these new features during an additional week of trial period

Bug corrections:

- When synchronization of mails was selected, it could lead to a "synchronization error" and a disconnection
- Synchronizing mails with attachments could sometimes lead to "unresolved items"
- Synchronization could hang when synchronizing a recurring event created or modified on the mobile
- Synchronizing an event or task with a recurrence on the last day of the month leaded to "unresolved items"
- Synchronization with Outlook could hang on a desktop where BirdieSync was not installed
- If Lightning was not installed, it was possible that clicking on "OK" button in BirdieSync options or "Terminate" in the wizard had no effect
- If Thunderbird profile was not properly defined, all the same personal and history address books were listed
- When installing BirdieSync, an error could displayed mentioning that APPDATA environment variable could not be found
- Slight modifications of warnings in BirdieSync options window
- Traces were labeled UTC instead of "Local time"

Bug corrections:

- ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center could crash
- Synchronization could hang
- If Lightning was not installed and you chose Sunbird as the calendar application, it was possible that clicking on "OK" button in BirdieSync options or "Terminate" in the wizard had no effect

Although BirdieSync was heavily tested, please, do backups of your Thunderbird or Sunbird profile !

- On some systems, at installation, Thunderbird, Sunbird or ActiveSync could be unproperly detected as running, preventing installation
- Mail icon in ActiveSync window could be replaced by card icon
- Several instances of options window could be opened at the same time
- In classical theme, BirdieSync options color were not properly set
